The search for cost reduction and efficient usage of resources in the production system requires companies to make a spotless management of their materials, main assets when talking about the production strategies of an organization. Even só, many companies still do not use tools and management techniques that are often simple but still bring great results. The Material Requirements Planning (MRP) allows carrying out simulations with material purchases based on demand and production forecast, supporting decision making; and MRP II (“Manufacturing Resource Planning”) being an enhancement of all aspects of including the relationship between materials, finance and human resources. Therefore, this work aimed to choose a model company that uses the MRP II proposal for a second company, for this, MRP modules were used. Through which, the quality of the information flow can be improved by increasing the reliability of the company. Lastly, a comparative study was carried out between this current situation and the new proposal, emphasizing the importance of MRP II in production planning and control. Thus, it is possible to find opportunities for improvement to control and monitor the management of resources. |
