The current production model, which has been under development since the industrial revolution, demands excellence and perfection in processes, cost reduction and continuous increase of productivity. One way to achieve these attainments is to replace management methods considered traditional and often outdated by a new method of managing by processes. The implementation of this new management model is feasible for companies of all sizes and sectors due to the fact that every organization is made up of processes, and consequently can benefit from the proposed model. Within this context, the present work has the purpose of applying a process management method in a medium complexity hospital located in the western region of Paraná. Initially, the process that had the greatest disapproval of internal customers within the hospital's purchasing sector was verified. Then, interviews were conducted to obtain the knowledge of the process and identification of the anomalies. After wards, studies were done and finally the elaboration of improvement plans for the processes. |
