Resumo: Companies invest resources and efforts at all times to remain competitive in the market. In this increasingly aggressive scenario, organizations need to find the most impacting activities to decide on their investments. Previously neglected by a large part of the business community, environmental management has become an excellent opportunity to be adopted as an alternative organizational strategy to keep the survival of companies in front of their competitors. In addition to being a distinctive image generating aspect for customers, this model contributes to the improvement of processes in the daily business. The Cleaner Production Program (P & L) is intended to allow a production process that is less aggressive to the environment and can be adopted as a strategy in many organizations. This work was developed with the intention of studying the application of P + L in a furniture manufacturing company through changes in its layout. Therefore, it was sought to make the processes that involve the use of MDF as well as the destination of the residues left by this product more efficient, for which the main focus was to obtain a more efficient production with respect and environmental awareness. This is a study of an applied nature, carried out in an exploratory way and that used qualitative methods for the treatment of data collected in the company. With a new proposed physical arrangement, it was sought to complement and facilitate the actions of both top management and the operational level in order to apply said methodology and obtain positive results in production.
