The identification of forest species is a necessity for creating digital herbarium, although the shortage of professionals to carry out this work makes this a quite difficult task, one reason is the time to become an expert, which can reach over 10 years. To attempt to speed up the identification process, this work uses easy access devices, mature techniques to make the acquisition through the use of a studio that you can do at home, segmentation edge detection techniques such as Canny, feature extraction using established descriptors and classification of species using classifiers established in several studies. |
