The aim of this study was to develop a web application to provide liming recommendations as a decision-making tool, in order to contribute on farm management. Based on software development technologies such as Java programming language, the MVC framework VRaptor, Bootstrap and PostgreSQL Database Management System for data storage and management of stored procedures. The application retrieves data from soil analysis reports to calculate liming recommendations, which can contribute in farm management. The frameworks proved to be agile development tools, and PostgreSQL as a good system to maintain and manage data. The web application is available for free at the link ppat.md.utfpr.edu.br, benefiting the agricultural community and farming management as well. |
