Resumo: The knowledge in environmental education, formal learning the individual and the characteristics of the visitors, are important requirements for the development of specific programs for public use in protected areas, covering sub tourism, recreation and environmental education. This research aimed to analysis and environmental awareness of visitors to Farringdon Park - Matelândia - Paraná. This work of environmental education was a way to check the knowledge and perception of visitors on the conditions available for the organization, safety and cleanliness of the park. Thus, interviews were conducted in the park and its surroundings, using a questionnaire containing 16 questions regarding Farringdon Park and the necessary information for the development of work were collected. Among the results, it can be noted that the largest age group of visitors is 14 to 25 years, the majority use the park for recreation, and the indication of more toilets and safe trails. The results showed that the park needs improvement in infrastructure to better serve visitors.
