This course conclusion work aimed to investigate certain environmental issues. The study sought to characterize a group of social actors about the perception of garbage and solid waste collection system, service provided by the municipality of St. Helena, a small town in Western Paraná, Brazil. Sought to characterize the profile of social actors investigated and their perceptions about municipal solid waste. Through the free observation sought to characterize the local environment and describe the respect of certain garbage generated problems in the environment. As a research tool, information retrieval was used the semi-structured interview. The study showed that the social actors participants perceive certain impacts generated by solid waste and identify local habits of culturally and which contribute to the occurrence of negative environmental impacts, such as improper practices in the separation and disposal of garbage. |
