Resumo: As a result of the technological advances of the last decades, such as the exploration of natural resources, have resulted in great changes in the environment and, consequently, in the life of human being. With the emergence and improvement of environmental standards, the economic development becomes increasingly sustainable, and seeks to take advantage of its sustainable practices and products as a market differential. In this sense, the present work seeks to evaluate the consumption practices of sustainable products from population of the municipality of Medianeira-PR, through an exploratory research in the form of questionnaires with objective questions. After the collection and compilation of the data, a relatively positive participation of the population was observed, highlighting the higher motivation of the respondents of higher income to pay more for sustainable products (29%) than those with income of up to three minimum wages (21%). There is a greater engagement of respondents with higher education in relation to environmental perception (97%) than those with high school education (85%). In addition to a greater knowledge about environmental labeling of products for interviewees with higher schooling (33%) compared to those interviewed up to high school (26%). From the results obtained, a relatively positive participation of the population was observed, highlighting greater engagement for respondents with higher income and schooling in relation to environmental perception and consumption of sustainable products.
