Resumo: This work consists of the design and construction of variable capacitor didactic blades with parallel capacitance of 7000 microfarads (mF), to be used in the practical activities of the disciplines of laboratory courses UTFPR - Campus Medianeira - PR. Having specific goals as the design, construction and determination of their dielectric parameters. The project sizing variable capacitor was developed through the use of Solidworks® software. The manufacturing and assembly of the capacitor was almost entirely performed in the laboratories of the Course of Technology in Industrial Maintenance UTFPR - Federal Technological University of Paraná, Campus of Medianeira - PR. To determine the parameters Tests of capacitance, voltage level, transient, frequency response curve, loading and unloading, power factor capacitor behavior in AC RLC circuit in series and parallel impedance and phase shift angle. Since the capacitor assays responded satisfactorily in this way suitable for use in testing electric didactic.
