The environment lighting has been studied in human and animal aspect. In humans have been analyzed visual comfort, improved acuity, work safety and environmental and ergonomic risks of its improper installation. This study aimed to verify the adequacy of the lighting system (sodium vapor) currently installed in the shed, by analyzing the technical and economic feasibility of replacement of these bulbs for LED bulbs. The analysis was made by comparing scenarios where the currently installed system (48 sodium vapor lamps) with shed adapted to LED lamps, in which were made just the lamps substitution without the worry about the light effects. Were carried out luminotecnico sizing calculations for determining the adequacy of systems to current standards. The lighting measurements showed that the average illuminance shed with 48 installed sodium vapor lamps is 85.75 lux with low diffusivity ratio (0.50) confirming the hypothesis that the current electrical installation does not meet the legislated requirements for this place. A new installation project showed that 46 lamps of this type would be needed to suit the lighting system. In the shed where the bulbs were exchanged for LED, the average illuminance was 32.53 lux – value below the regulated. This system showed up viable economically with payment time (payback) 3 months, IRR of 3.52% per month and NPV of R $ 11,298.63 denoting this is the savings in electricity bill by the estimated life of the new lamp. But it is emphasized that this option is not technically feasible. The correct sizing of the LED system needs to have 235 lamps installed in the shed, a fact that has not economically feasible for having IRR, NPV and Payback negative. |
