After becoming aware of several cases reported in the media of people who forgot children inside vehicles and that because many of them died, it was searched to develop a system that at least caught the attention of the driver or someone who is next to the vehicle of which there is a child inside. As there are no laws that require vehicles to have an alarm system for this purpose and as it is mandatory to use the child restraint device (baby seat), a prototype of an audible and luminous alarm composed of sensors, relay, a siren and a lamp to be installed in the car seat and in conjunction with the driver's seat to alert the driver, if he leave the vehicle, that there is a child still sitting in the baby seat. There are already similar systems, but they include modifications in the vehicle itself, the idea of the prototype under study is a system that can be easily installed and removed from any vehicle regardless of the technology used, since it only needs a source of 12 V and can be obtained easily by any positive wire from the dashboard or doors or even from the cigarette lighter. |
