This research consists of a qualitative analysis of the graphic novel Palestine, by Joe Sacco, under the bias of cultural studies related to national identities, in order to identify the ways in which expressions of the palestinian national identity are represented in this book. It presents a brief history of professional trajectory of the author, basic concepts of national identity and historical context of Palestine, which provide theoretical basis for drawing parallels between traces of palestinian identity and the representations constructed by the author, analyzing formal and discursive aspects. |
