Resumo: This work presents the development of an interactive printed book from the initial 5 chapters of the trilogy The Nearly Honorable Pirate League - The Treasure of the Enchantress by Caroline Carlson. It was discussed the emergence of the book as well as the development of the first illustrated books, addressing aspects such as female representation in fantastic literature to measure what role was reserved for the female character. The concepts of interactive and emotional design were studied and applied in order to create an interactive book that is functional and emotionally attractive to the reader. In addition, were discussed the fundamentals of paper engineering and how to apply it in an interactive book to make reading more dynamic and interesting. A survey was conducted with the user seeking to discover their habits and interests in reading, as well as an analysis of similar books. Finally, it presents the design process to create an interactive printed book, presenting the stages of graphic creation, from the illustrations to the interactive scenes, such as the study of interaction elements for each page, cover and graphic production for the binding.
