Resumo: |
This study aims to investigate the interventions and mediations that have occurred in society starting from postcards belonging to the collection of the graphic artist from Curitiba, Rodolpho Doubek (1906-1989). Besides being lithographer, Rodolpho was a designer and a dedicated collector who gathered and organized approximately ten thousand postcards dating from 1892 to 1940. Through portraits of the city, cultural registrations and representations of the society, the collection allows other perceptions about the XIV and XX centuries. The objective of the research preceeds in understanding the social dynamics involved in the circulation of these graphics, seeking to understand how cultural relations are constituted between a collective and personal view. The postcards that were selected and organized by Doubek are submerged in his experiences, memories and they can (re) present social events of which he has participated, either directly or indirectly. These artifacts are part of the history of the graphic arts of Paraná and they allow many discussions. Therefore, a cataloguing method was applied to direct the studies and select the main themes inside the collection in order to create a brief overview of the last century. |
