This final year research project aimed to develop prints based on the flora in extinction in the state of Paraná through principles of surface design and the Indian technique of block printing. The theoretical foundation of this work included aspects of the creation and development of patterns, as well as all the history and processes belonging to the Asian technique. The phases of the project includes studies through manual and digital drawings, structure of grids for the patterns and stamps’ carving for printing. In addition, the present work also counted on printing tests and the production of the final fabrics. Later these textiles were dyed and transformed into pieces of summer clothing, composing a collection named Parsani. |
