Resumo: This study presents the data of the project entitled "Animal Magazine: The Europeanand Brazilian counterculture in the post-dictatorship period", within its historical, social, political and editorial context. The objective of this work is to investigate how Animal magazine relates to the political-cultural movements of national and international counterculture. Focusing on the documentation of its relevance within the Brazilian comic book market, as well as its importance in opening the Brazilian underground comic scene. This was done through the collection of data and registration of Animal magazine’s publications. In addition, information was collected on statements, prefaces and interviews of the editor-in-chief until issue 11 of the journal, Rogério de Campos, as the preface in the 2010 special edition of RanXerox published by Conrad.
