Resumo: This report is a synthesis of the development of educational resources on taking care of the waters of rivers. First of all, it is concerned to the research and development of theoretical concepts about the systemic perspective, environmental education and interaction design, which are the basis of the research and development of the educational resources for an interactive media for environmental education, focused on the hydrographical basin of the Belém River, which is located in the city of Curitiba, Paraná State, Brazil, and is addressed to children from 8 to 12 years of age. This project is concerned to the Diploma Work developed at the Technology in Graphic Design Course of the Federal University of Technology – Paraná. The theoretical basis was contextualized, based on the choice of the mentioned basin, due to its high level of degradation of its environmental system, currently presenting the highest level of water pollution among the rivers of the city of Curitiba, as well as due to its localization and historical, social and cultural importance, which are directly related to the city. Furthermore, the methodological procedures of the research and the selection of textual and image contents are reported, as well as the process of development of shapes and illustration of elements, amongst others. Finally, the results are reported, emphasizing the harmony of the graphic composition as a whole, and the conclusions that were obtained until the dead line of the project.
