The correct use of quality spray tips provides an application with a more uniform drop spectrum and consequently with greater efficiency and lower risks of environmental degradation. Thus, the objective of this work was to evaluate the quality of fungicide application in the soybean crop as a function of different spray tips and times of application. The experiment was carried out in the field, in the community of Bom Retiro, in the city of Pato Branco, southwest of Paraná, with soybean cultivar BMX Raio. The treatments involved the application of fungicide for the control of Asian soybean rust, with three different types of spray tips: AD / D 02 double fan, AD 015 single fan type, and JA-2 RG 00026 jet empty cone. To quantify the uniformity and quantity of product that will be deposited in the upper, middle and lower thirds of the plant, for each of the tips used, was used hydrosensible papers. The empty conical jet tip (JA-2 RG 00026) showed lower droplet size, higher density, coverage, and volume applied at soybean V6 stage. The single fan tip (AD 015) provided droplets of average diameter and was higher than the other tips in the soybean R5 stage, where the penetration of droplets is essential for a good application, ie it was the tip that presented better performance in the experiment. In general, the double fan jet (AD /D 02) had a medium droplet spectrum and did not provide good coverage in the lower third of the plants in the second season and performed below the empty conical jet and the single fan in the first season of application. |
