Resumo: The terrestrial surface goes through constant transformations that give great alterations in its relief. In addition to natural events, the impacts of celestial bodies contribute to such changes, forming structures of importance in the economic sphere. The characterization of areas allows the measurement of the potential that a certain area possesses, as well as the identification of possible areas of risk, environmental impacts, assisting in decision making for the best optimization of resources. The use of digital elevation models has been increasingly disseminated in studies of environmental areas, supporting the classification of landscapes. As a study area, the Vista Alegre Crater region was selected in the state of Paraná, where 30 m digital elevation resolution models were used, which were processed in the QGIS software, thus generating a slope map. Chemical analyzes of topographic profiles were carried out at six points determined within the crater region. The maps combined with the results of the field analyzes resulted in the physical and morphological characterization of the agricultural areas located within the Vista Alegre crater.
