Resumo: Widely distributed throughout the globe, the fig tree (Ficus carica L.) is cultivated both in warm subtropical regions and in temperate regions, representing an alternative of diversification of regional agricultural production. The objective of this work was to verify the productive performance of fig trees Roxo de Valinhos, Pingo de Mel, Roxão and Roxinho cultivars for in natura consumption, in the conditions of Pato Branco - PR. The evaluated orchard was implanted in 2007, with a spacing of 1,5 x 2,5 m, in the experimental area of the Federal Technological University of Paraná, Campus Pato Branco. The plants were conducted with twenty-four productive branches. The control of pests and diseases was by the application of Copper Hydroxide (537,44 g L-1). Harvests were performed when the fruits lost firm consistency and became purplish. The evaluated production variables were: percentage of ripe fruits, percentage of damaged / discarded fruits, percentage of green fruits, mean fruit mass, average fruit length, average fruit diameter, yield per plant, estimated cumulative yield and number of crops. The results were submitted to analysis of variance and Tukey's test, using the GENES program. For the cultivars Roxo de Valinhos and Roxão, quality variables were also evaluated: fruit weight, soluble solids, titratable acidity, pH, firmness and color. The averages obtained were compared using the t (bilateral) test. The yield of figs was much higher for the cultivars Roxo de Valinhos and Roxão, surpassing 13 t ha-1. The cultivars Pingo de Mel and Roxinho had a little more than 4 t ha-1. The percentage of figs discarded exceeded 47% of the number of figs for all cultivars. The cultivars Roxo de Valinhos, Roxão and Pingo de Mel produced heavier fruits (35,57-53,62 g). It was verified that there were no significant differences for the qualitative variables analyzed, demonstrating similarity in the quality of figs of the cultivars Roxo de Valinhos and Roxão. The SS values are considered low (9,32-10,02), which may be the effect of lower temperatures during the ripening season of the figs in Pato Branco. With regard to titratable acidity (0,31 º Brix) and fresh fruit mass (49,87-53,62 g), these values are similar to those found in the literature. The pH values obtained (5,18) are below that recorded for figs produced in the country. The analyzed fruits present less firmness than records of figs produced in the field (1,51 N), probably due to the low radiation and luminosity index, caused by the high rainfall index occurred in the month of analysis. There were no differences in the color of the fruits of the two cultivars, and the values obtained were similar to those found by other authors (L:38,69-39,84; C:26,06-26,47; h:49,56-53,73). By the interpretation of these indices, figs showed dark reddish coloration, low luminosity and color purity. The cultivars of figueira Roxo de Valinhos and Roxão can be recommended for cultivation in Pato Branco because they have high vigor and fig production, unlike the cultivars Pingo de Mel and Roxinho.
