The work is characterized as explanatory and presents a qualitative and quantitative approach. Data collection was performed by means of an experiment based on the questionnaires, with 52 volunteers, half of the participants for each year studied. 1st year of UTFPR and 1 FADEP period were analyzed for control group responses, because according to the curriculum both did not have matters related to the financial market in the year entered. The 3rd year of UTFPR and 5th FADEP period were also analyzed, as already owned material on the financial market, so theoretically because the information they hold the results may change when compared to the 1st year. The results of this research indicate that the freshmen students in educational institutions were more influenced in two effects, compared to its veterans, 73% against 56% in groupthink effect and 69% against 62% in the herd effect, respectively. Considerando que as pessoas sofrem influências diariamente pelo meio em que estão inseridas, o objetivo do presente trabalho foi verificar se os graduandos de Ciências Contábeis da Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná (UTFPR) campus Pato Branco e da Faculdade de Pato Branco (FADEP), apresentam mudanças comportamentais em relação às suas decisões de investimento quando expostos aos efeitos groupthink e manada. O trabalho caracteriza-se como explicativo e apresenta uma abordagem qualitativa-quantitativa. A coleta de dados foi realizada por meio de um experimento baseado em questionários aplicados, tendo 52 voluntários, sendo metade dos participantes para cada ano estudado. Foram analisados o 1º ano da UTFPR e 1º período da FADEP para obter respostas de grupo de controle, pois segundo a grade curricular ambos não tiveram matéria relacionada ao mercado financeiro no ano que ingressaram. O 3º ano da UTFPR e o 5º período da FADEP também foram analisados, pois, já possuíram matéria sobre mercado financeiro, de modo que teoricamente devido as informações que eles detêm os resultados podem sofrer alterações quando comparado ao 1º ano.
