Resumo: As the construction market is a major consumer of natural resources, there is concern about the environmental impacts generated by this market. This study aims to evaluate the environmental impacts caused by the manufacture of ceramic blocks in a ceramic located in the region of Prudentópolis, Paraná. It will be using the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) method, which evaluates the environmental impacts at each stage of the ceramic blocks production process. From this objective, a study was developed on the production process of the ceramic blocks (from the cradle to the factory gate), verifies the contribution of each of the productive processes to the chosen environmental impacts. A questionnaire was applied at the plant and the collected data was collected on the production life cycle (LCI). With the analysis of the ICV, it was possible to carry out the environmental impact assessment (AICV) generated by the blocks manufacturing using the CML-IA baseline, EDIP 2003, USEtox 2 and IPCC 2013 methods. The results obtained by this process allowed to identify which processes and inputs contributed to each impact, with clay being the input that contributed most to all categories. From the production factors that impact the environment, it is possible to propose measures that reduce these impacts, and the control of the use of pallets is the most appropriate measure to be taken. This control can be done through the reuse, the use of ecological pallets, and the choice of less toxic resins to be applied to the pallets.
