Knowing the importance of having knowledge of the subsoil geotechnical characteristics in order to start an engineering project, from small to large ones, this work was performed aiming to characterize the subsoil of an area of 14.7km ², located in the central urban area of the town of PatoBranco - PR. The characterization began by collecting geotechnical data from the information present in probing reports of simple recognition with Standard Penetration Test (SPT). Making use of a base map of the region the estimated data were georeferenced from the Autocad software with reference of UTM coordinates, and treated by a database developed in the working interface of Excel software. The results of the spatial data analysis were displayed as thematic digital maps with features present in soil classification which is contained in NBR 7250/2004 for the identification and description of soil samples obtained through surveys of simple soil recognition. The study allowed an easier visualization of the subsoil characteristics, where it is possible to realize how essential its knowledge is, due to several changes in its characteristic within a small portion of area. |
