Resumo: Nowadays besides economic development, there is the issue of sustainable development, which seeks not only ways to achieve lower costs, but also reduce the environmental impact. Among the impacts to the environment to extract materials for the construction industry is the exploitation of minerals to be used as aggregate in concrete and mortar. This work aims to analyze the replacement of natural aggregate for aggregate crushing, reducing the impact and cost of product generated. The substitution was made in the composition of mortar mixed specific trait used for cladding, using material available near the cities of Pato Branco and Francisco Beltrão, economic poles of the southwest of Paraná. Assays were performed as the particle size of the aggregates, as well as determination of the mortar consistency, water holding capacity, bulk density, compressive strength and adhesion, analysis of finishing and material costs. It was found that the material available in the non granulometric characteristics features ideal for use in mortars, and with adjustments in the process of obtaining the product should for best results.
