Resumo: The civil construction market goes through consecutive highs and lows; thus companies need to be prepared to excel in such a competitive market. Mortar coatings are the most prevalent in Brazilian civil works as they tend to maintain their strength for long periods of time. Therefore, mortar coatings are a fundamental part of the market, both economically and technically, for which companies must concern themselves. The study of the mechanically projected mortar aims to fulfill these two pillars (technical and economic) – because it addresses the mechanization of construction systems, where it aims to reach higher quality and lower costs in the long run. This work has the intention to analyze and demonstrate whether or not mortar coating mechanization meets the current Brazilian guidelines, and if this choice is adequate economically. To achieve this, data was obtained from previous studies that have obtained values for productivity, tensile strength and costs.
