Resumo: Seeking to optimize the management of information in construction and in its various stages till the final product, it created the need in an international scope to implement the BIM technology (Building Information Modeling) which operates compatibilizing the projects involved in the execution of the work, aiming to anticipate conflicts and solve problems before it even exists, as well as a more accurate view of the work as a whole, with the closest prediction of the reality of materials and processes needed for its execution. For the success of this approach becomes necessary greater interrelation and cooperation of those involved in the field of Architecture, Engineering and Construction, reducing rework and waste arising from a poor planning or lack of relationship between projects of the same building. Arising out of this need for inter-relationship, this study aim to compare two project development methodologies for a single-family residence, looking to have an analysis with which one can see the real impact of the implementation of BIM methodology, compared to traditional methodology in the management, planning and budgeting of the civil work as a whole. It will also make a comparison between the management tools to be possible to analyze the obtained impacts and variations. The result reinforces the importance of using the project compatibilization and with it have greater precision in data acquisition and consequently a budget and a planning closer to the reality, thus reducing errors, rework and waste during the execution of the project.
