Resumo: This work presents a comparison of cost/benefit ratio between a traditional desktop computers (HP Compaq 6005 Pro Microtower computer) cluster and a low-power consumption devices cluster, like the Raspberry Pi Model B and Cubietruck. In order to test them, algorithms to solve P and NP-Hard classes of problems have been implemented. Analyzes were performed with the obtained data as, for example, the speedup calculation. With the collected data from both clusters was possible to estimate the cost and benefit generated and their applicability.
