In order to do that, after the selection of a state school in Pato Branco, as a research field, English language classes observations were made. Subsequently, a questionnaire was developed and applied to the students to investigate their knowledge about English-speaking countries and their culture. Also, a semi-structured interview was done with the class teacher to investigate her perceptions about the relationship between cultures of English-speaking countries and how English teaching occurs in the classroom and influences learning. Next, a qualitative interpretative analysis of the data was developed. The results of the research, from the questionnaires and interview, point out that there is an incompatibility between students’ perceptions and the teacher’s perceptions, since data show evidences that the students have been not developing culturally, whereas in the teacher’s answers there are evidences that she knows the importance of the teaching of intercultural aspects in her English language classes. A presente pesquisa tem como objetivo analisar quais são as percepções sobre a Interculturalidade que está presente no ensino-aprendizagem de Língua Inglesa como língua estrangeira em uma turma de 8º ano de Ensino Fundamental, Para isso, após a escolha de uma escola estadual do município de Pato Branco, como campo de pesquisa, foram feitas observações das aulas de língua inglesa. Posteriormente, houve a elaboração e aplicação de um questionário aos alunos da turma, para investigar seu conhecimento sobre os países falantes de língua inglesa e sua cultura. Também foi realizada uma entrevista semiestruturada com a professora de Inglês da turma, objetivando investigar suas percepções sobre a relação entre culturas dos países falantes de língua inglesa e como o ensino de Inglês ocorre e influencia a aprendizagem dos alunos. Na sequência, desenvolveu-se uma análise qualitativo-interpretativista. Os resultados da pesquisa, a partir dos questionários e entrevista, apontam que há uma incompatibilidade entre as percepções dos alunos e da professora, uma vez que os dados apresentam evidências de que os alunos não estão se desenvolvendo culturalmente, enquanto que nas respostas da professora, em sua entrevista, observam-se evidências de que a mesma conhece a importância do ensino de aspectos interculturais em suas aulas de LI. 2020-11-18T14:24:30Z 2020-11-18T14:24:30Z 2016-11-24 bachelorThesis TODESCHINI, Isabella.
