Alvares de Azevedo had great importance in the Brazilian Romanticismbecause in addition to producing ultrarromânticos poems that had as its theme the love and the dream, created his own style, sometimes romantic, sometimes ironic. Therefore, this paper aims to analyze the binomial, especially in female representation, focusing on the study of some selected poems of "Lira of Twenty Years" (“Pálida Inocência”, “Seio de Virgem”, “Virgem Morta”, “É ela! É ela! É ela! É ela!” e “Minha Amante”), and also the study of of the said work forewords, based on theories of Affonso Romano Sant'anna (und.), Mário de Andrade (1974) and Antonio Candido (1997). |
