Resumo: This work presents the study, design and development of a photovoltaic emulator based on the closed loop control of a Buck dc-dc converter topology. This emulator has similar eletric characteristics of a commercial photovoltaic panel and it aims to facilitate tests in a laboratory environment. The advantage of the emulator over the photovoltaic module is the laboratory tests without worry about the weather, run multiples weather conditions and validate a maximum power point tracker converter before connect them to photovoltaics modules. This work uses the one diode approximated model to reproduce the operational characteristics of a photovoltaic module. This model was analyzed in simulations and applied on emulator. In order that it can reproduce the behavior of a photovoltaic module is proposed a closed-loop current control using a proportional-integral controller with saturation to the converter. The controller performance was verified through simulations and the results obtained was satisfactory. The platform implementation is composed by DSP TMDSCNCD28069 Piccolo, synchronous Buck converter, signal conditioning circuit and driver circuit. Finally, platform’s elements were described and experimental results was presented graphically.
