Resumo: Due to the crescent necessity of security and reliability in mecanichal components this research aims at utilizing a damage identification methodology in an aluminium plate based on the Lamb waves amplitudes decomposition generated and captured by a piezoelectric actuator and sensor, respectively. By means of the Wavelet transform the work was capable of compare two states of the structure, namely, with a damage and without through the integration of the energy spectrum of the time signals. It was verified that the utilized technique was capable of detect a simple damage, like the absence of a bolt. However, other analyses are necessary to confirm the result in other systems.
