Resumo: The present work aimed to carry out the kinetic study of aquation of the trans–[Co(en)2Cl2]Cl complexes, by exchanging some of the molecule ligands. The analysis started from the synthesis of the complex, followed by the instrumentation, that used spectroscopy in UV-Vis and IR region so that it was possible to confirm that the synthesis of the isomer occurred as was expected, and also understand the behavior of kinetics aquation at different temperatures. Such that for the same compound showed differential reaction rate as the temperature directly influence the exchange time of the ligands, in consequence, this substitution process can be monitored by absorbance of light that remained in the visible region.
