Resumo: The borosilicate glasses are widely used in chemical laboratories, as they have Higher thermal and mechanical resistance. There is an excessive discard of broken or cracked glass laboratory because no recovery programs of glasswork, generating a large volume of solid wast at the University. In order to reduce this residue and study the possibility of establishing a restoration program at the University, this paper brings glass molding techniques using fire. The objective was partially achieved, because some glasses were recovered despite difficulties, highlighting the lack of appropriate tools. To implement the recovery project it is necessary purchase proper tools besides burner fixed and support for cutting of glasswork.
