Resumo: In this work we investigate the influence of the structural properties of TiO2 films grown electrochemically through PEO (plasma electrolytic oxidation). The film’s microstructural and morphological properties were analyzed by photocatalytic tests using the ciprofloxacin hydrochloride. By the results obtained it was possible to verify a relation between the pore diameter and the crystallite size, also called the structural ratio, and by Pareto graphs, statistical analysis, a strong influence of the synthesis temperature was verified; the results were better in higher synthesis temperatures. As a complementary study, ecotoxicity tests were realized using Lactuca sativa L. seeds and the Lemna minor macrophyte. In the tests with the seeds in addition to observing a difference in the test of the drug with the others, showing that the drug in natura causes damage to the seed, also showed strong influence of temperature of synthesis on the toxicity of the effluent. In the studies with the macrophyte the lower mortality rates were found in tests of films of greater photoactivity, in addition to being statistically influenced by the temperature of synthesis, proving a strong inffluence of synthesis’ temperature on TiO2 films’ photoacticity.
