Resumo: Since its birth, children receive medical care in order to verify their development and enable early detection of problems and possible diseases. In addition, the child needs to develop well in the first months to avoid problems in the future. To find out if the child is developing properly should know, among other information, your weight and height, to compare with the reference charts of the National Center for Healt Statistics (NCHS) and the World Health Organization (WHO), this graphs contains a midline healthy growth for children. The monitoring can prevent problems before they happen, and to assist in this, this paper presents a software developed to allow the registration of children's anthropometric data, and based on that child's history, generating a prediction of how the development will be the child certain time in the future. To be able to predict this software employs a genetic programming algorithm which will be responsible for performing a symbolic regression process. This algorithm is based on the system registration data and will generate predictions. The software developed can be used to identify early possible malnutrition problems, obesity and other aspects related to the physical, serving as aid in decision making by health care experts.
