With the growth of the population and the development of countries, it is becoming necessary to build buildings, whether residential or commercial. The civil construction sector is one of the ones that cause the environmental impacts, due to the irrational use of available natural resources. In this way, space is opened for the use of new building alternatives, such as marine containers. Considered as a sustainable alternative, this practice deserves to be analyzed regarding the conditions of thermal comfort to the users. The present work analyzed the container buildings in the city of Toledo-PR are thermal thermally comfortable through in loco measurements. In addition, it was verified if they had sustainable characteristics that could meet the pre-defined parameters of the environmental certifications. It also presents, in the form of a bibliographic review, concepts and definitions about sustainable alternatives and characteristics proper to container constructions, in order to contribute to the diffusion of knowledge about such constructive element. |
