Resumo: The purpose of this course completion work is to evaluate two dynamic routing protocols: RIP and OSPF. The focus is on your ability to recover from a change in your topology. The way in which these protocols were compared makes use of information received by the tests such as CPU usage during convergence and adaptation time to update the topology. The manipulation of internal timers modifies these values giving emphasis to the use of different network resources. During the tests and from the tests results it was possible to understand how the protocols converge and verify the optimized way of modifying these parameters, in order to reach a configuration where the expenditure of these resources is reduced.
