The purpose of the present work was to optimize the sequencing of production in a chemical industry by means of a mathematical programming model, in order to minimize the sum of setup times. For this, the following characteristics were considered: flow shop environment, distinct parallel machines and asymmetric and sequence dependent setup times. It was characterized as setup the time necessary to carry out the cleaning between the production of lots. The resulting tooling made use of the Microsoft Office Excel 2013 Solver application. The production sequencing obtained through the simulation showed a 37% reduction in the total setup time for the period from January to June 2018. |
