The growth of the necessity of an environmental preservation brought some models of management and public policies that have the environment as focus. This study aims to evaluate the applicability and verify the compliance of the requirements of the Solid Waste Management Plan, obligated by the Solid Waste National Policy. Through the analysis of the production process of a small company, it will analyze the sources generators of solid waste and the solutions used for treatment of this waste and identify improvements in the processes and possibilities to give the correct destination to the waste. This study seeks to identify possible doubts and difficulties in the implementation of the Solid Waste Management Plan. So, it was identified the environmental perception of the manager of the company about environmental legislation in the city of Ponta Grossa, verifying the easy points of the application and implementation. The benefits identified to the company was a better knowledge of the wastes, its quantities, amounts of raw material that were not well used and opportunities of reusing the waste, generating financial economies to the company. |
