The methods for product development process has been gaining more and more space in the industrial sector. As a competitive factor, product development success can contribute directly for the company’s progress in new business. Therefore, this study presents the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), method which aims to structure the development of new products from market research step to the costumer’s response. This study aims to assess the APQP methodology implementation in a process development of a new product. This study will be performed in a midsize wire fittings industry which is located in the state of Paraná, where there are no product development methods. It is expected that with the implementation of this methodology, the company will gain benefits like: process structuration, process control, products documentations and lower losses. |
