From the beginning of civilization man lives with daily confrontations for his survival, be they against animals or especially against man himself. These disputes over food, territory and power have led to the gradual development of battle tools, such as weapons and instruments of individual or collective protection, war production has become a strong industry with an active voice in the modern world. This development of arms brought the need to fully understand all the physical phenomena present in the instruments of attack and defense, in order to always be in front of each other at the time of battle. The work carried out in this dissertation intends to evaluate the loss of energy in laminated windshield, Type E, in a theoretical way, using the bibliographic review for the study and application of the law of conservation of energy, taking into account the limitations existing for laboratories, and in a practical way, presenting a simple methodology that aims to reduce the process variables for field tests. The practical experiment consists in the ballistic study of the trajectory of the projectile, to evaluate the loss of energy after impact. These evaluations form the basis for comparing if the proposed energy loss in the theoretical equation resembles the loss of energy studied in the field experiment, concluding that from this experiment taking into account the methodology used the energies found are quite dissimilar, therefore, to propose for a new project a more refined study that seeks to restrict increasingly the variables present in the processes, in order to achieve an increasingly real result. |
