3D printing stands out as one of 4.0 industry main process, concept used to define technological and efficient industries. This technology became more and more accessible, being present not only in industries but in small workshops and universities also. As in any manufacturing process, to obtain a part that meets the design requirements, it is necessary to know and controlling the process variants and especially the raw material. This paper presents a practical study about the influence of raw polymer upon the final characteristics of printed pieces. Analyzing the comportment of pieces manufactured using different printing configuration it shows that the material exerts a significant influence upon the mechanical resistance. However, it shows that process control factors such as temperature and work speed, and external weather conditions as air humidity, exert a greater influence upon the dimensional accuracy, tensile strength and the quality of the part’s surfaces. |
