Resumo: The way a company organizes itself reflects a lot of its culture and business strategy and can even vary from one area to another, within the same company. These organizational changes can even bring advantages and disadvantages to the area and to the company as a whole. One of the areas that is increasingly showing its importance for improving the performance of a company's operation, and consequently offering better customer service, is the area of logistics. Logistics can be organized in a variety of ways, from an integrated planning of the whole operation to the focus on the transportation of goods and products. One of the ways to evaluate your performance is through performance indicators and thus look for possible areas for improvement. One of the ways to seek these improvements is through the implementation of tools that aim to help employees take action in order to make the operation more efficient as a whole. This paper aims to define and analyze the organizational structure of the logistics area of a corrugated cardboard company, the way the industry works, its performance indicators and the impacts of the implementation of an area improvement tool.
