Resumo: Within the product development process (PDP) it is common to find uncertainties, especially in the early stages, and one of the ways to minimize the indecisions is to know the economic viability of the project. Developed by the US military sector, Life Cycle Cost Analysis (CCV) is a methodology that encompasses all the costs involved in a system, as an aid to the cost-sharing structure, differentiating from other methodologies that only consider the cost of acquisition. The CCV methodology has been studied and developed for application in the business sector, helping decision making in all phases of the life cycle, promoting optimization of costs in each of the project phases, in order to guarantee the competitiveness of the product in the market . The main objective of this work is to propose a CCV methodology that can be applied to the product development process and to simulate its behavior. As a methodology, the research to deepen the subject in technical-scientific works, the study of the PDP for its adaptation to the CCV, study of some models and activities of the CCV, propose a methodology integrating the activities within the process of product development, and finally simulating the methodology proposed in a real case of a PDP. The research carried out characterized the PDP, with the importance of carrying out cost estimation in the initial phases, the cost tools traditionally used in the PDP, for the CCV was analyzed, some existing models and their operation and cost analysis methods . The methodology was elaborated combining the three models of CCV studied, integrating to the conceptual project of the PDP, in the activities of development of principles and solution alternatives. It was proposed a total of 15 activities, which initially include preparation for the CCV, the creation of the model with the activities of the PDP and the morphological matrix and to end the analysis of the results obtained. A simulation of all the proposed activities was done, generating methodology feedback. The main conclusions point out that the methodology with the proposal to integrate the CCV into the PDP is in fact relevant to the product development process, bringing important information to the development team and clients, as well as the possibility of reducing risks.
