Resumo: The life cycle assessment methodology for assessing environmental performance is an important ally of organizations to assist in decision making. Knowing that the current market is increasingly competitive and environmental performance becomes a differential for organizations, it is observed in organizations a need to generate innovations to stay in the market in a competitive way believing that environmental performance has been stimulating the generation of innovation to get sustainable products. This study aimed to evaluate the indicators present in the generation of innovation that influence the life cycle assessment (LCA) on the rack storage systems. The innovation indicators were obtained through the application of a questionnaire elaborated on the model adapted by Luz (2011) to evaluate innovations and organizations as innovators. The innovation indicators were classified according to the degree of importance and related to the subsystems of the product impact categories of the LCA. The indicators of LCA were obtained from the literature of the study conducted by Rodrigues (2016) using a life cycle assessment methodology on the rack storage systems. With the subsystems of the ACV impact categories, an egalitarian weighted mean was used to find an average value for each subsystem of the impact categories. In this way it was possible to find through the tool for quality, which subsystem is more important in LCA. It was observed in the results of the qualitative analysis that the majority of innovation indicators are related to the indicators of LCA for the company studied, according to the interviewee's perception. With the results obtained, it is possible to help the organization in decision making and contribute to competitiveness.
