Performance evaluation is vital for comprehension of a business unity being conducted. The indicators have as objective measuring the efficiency and effectiveness of key parameters of a given sector, evaluating the competitiveness and if planning and adopted processes deliver good results. Through the treatment of a new department of a pulp and paper company located in the central region of the state of Paraná, the difficulties of operation in the area are expressive due to the lack of parameters of comparison. Thus, the model aims at an organization of performance indicators of an Off Machine Coater, which produces a series of special papers, coating the paper surface with a product. In this way, the methodology offers the utilization of quality tools for reaching the objectives, concluding with the proposal of an action plan for the most critical indicators. The objective of the study was fulfilled, noticing the basement of indicators that generate monthly reports of the machine's performance in a simple and visual way, which allows the evaluation of the performance at the area and assisting in the decision-making process. |
