Resumo: The current brazilian energy scenario shows hydroelectric plants being predominant in the national energy matrix. The growing interest for alternative forms of power generation is due to the fact mainly by the possibility to generate power by using emission-free and sustainably ways. Solar radiation is one of the called renewable energy and its conversion into electricity occurs through photovoltaic cells. Its implementation cost is still high, but has been reduced in recent years, making the investment in this technology more viable. The high temperatures on the surface of photovoltaic solar modules can cause them degradations. The efficiency of modules varies considerably when they are exposed to the sun, and the experimental results show the decrease of the power generated due to the increase of its surface temperature. In order to minimize the decay in yield of the conversion of the solar energy into electric, modules are cooled by forced convection using water as coolant. The results recorded voltage values higher than those obtained in the heated modules. Thereby it was possible to achieve greater power in the modules and higher conversion values of solar energy into electricity.
