The soy industry is very important for the region of Ponta Grossa, with many companies and producers in the next cities. The operations in the factories includes heavy equipment, large amount of feedstock and use of several chemical substances. Due these characteristics the companies needs to invest time, money and staff in the areas of health, safety and environment. The objective of this study is to perform an analysis about the methodology of process safety management in the soy industry. As methodologic option, this is an exploratory study, bibliographic and qualitative supported by a bibliographic research and application of company cases. The application of the procedure of identification and evaluation of risks leads to conclude that this model is qualified for the area of study. All items of the methodology helps to evaluate possible scenarios and consequences identify risks on the process and indicates improvement spots in the operations. |
