This study aims to verify the feasibility of filtering membranes production, using recycled glass, through the slip collage method, followed by the sintering and the characterization. The sintering happens at a temperature lower than the glass fusion temperature, where the particles surface unity, leaving some empty spaces, the pores. The slips solution was produced using mashed glass, water and sodium silicate, as a ligant. the slips was poured in a plaster mould, dried and sinterized. The membranes produced were analysed and pores were observed, so they can be characterized as filtering mediums. To the characterization porosity calculus, optic microscopy and electronic scanning microscopy were used. |
