Resumo: Bisphenol A it is a monomer used in manufacturing of plastics such as polycarbonate and epoxy resins. This compound is considered as endocrine disruptor that acts on the hormonal system, causing damage to its functioning. It also has an estrogenic action, increasing the proliferation of breast and prostate cancer cells. The analytical method applied was developed by using a high efficiency liquid chromatography (HPLC) technique. The Limit of quantification established the analysis of were 0,1 mg/L. The analyzed samples were collected from a single carboy of mineral water at in an interval of eighty days. In samples submitted to the bisphenol A extraction process, the concentrations of the compound varied within the range of 0,1 mg/L to 32,82 mg/L, thus, being above the legal limits that is 0,6 mg/L. It has been found that BPA can migrate from bottled of mineral water, depending on to the shelf life of the packed product.
